Do you want to get in shape, lose some pounds and become healthier, but don’t have the time to hit the gym? Or, you do have the time but don’t exactly feel like spending that much money on memberships and gas and you’d rather workout alone?
Whatever the case, having cardio exercise machines in your home is the solution for you. There’s a wide range of home gym equipment pieces to choose from nowadays, including many types of cardio exercise machines that won’t cost you a fortune. Depending on your budget, you can buy quality pieces of gym equipment that have multiple purposes. Cardio machines like steppers, treadmills and stationary bikes usually don’t cost more than $500, and you will certainly spend this amount of money only on gym memberships for a couple of months.
When you combine a cardio machine with a bunch of barbells, a bench and a few dumbbells, you’ll get a fully equipped home gym that will allow you to perform full bodyweight, weight and cardio workouts any time you want. Nobody will disturb you and you’ll end up using the equipment for many years to come, which certainly makes it money well spent.
The most important thing is being able to exercise whenever and however you want. No matter whether you like training late at night or early in the morning, you can do it and quickly take a shower and hit the bed or rush off to work. Personally, I do my workouts after a long day at work to refresh my body and clear my head. Now that I have my own gym at home, I don’t have to go in a gym stuffed with people, listen to music I don’t really like and look at pretentious gymaholics.
And as I mentioned briefly above, you can save a lot of money by purchasing home gym equipment. The prices at most gyms are somewhere between $50 and $100 per month, and when you add gas costs to it, you’ll certainly spend more than $100. Of course gyms are better equipped than my home gym, but you won’t use even half of those machines, ever. You don’t have to purchase many gym equipment pieces at once, just start with the essentials – a few dumbbells and a cardio machine, and work your way from there. That way, you might stick to it for a longer period, as you’ll be investing a big amount of money and time into it.
