Create Purposeful Focal Point with the Use of Modern TV Unit

My home is my sanctuary. I believe this is the case with everyone; no matter where you are and how much you’re enjoying, it’s home you wish to go back to. My passion for changes with the interior has made me bold enough to try out different styles, but that of course doesn’t mean I’ve spent vast amount of money on makeovers but rather handled many DIY projects. It turned into a sort of habit, or say a ritual, to have the main colour changed every two or three weeks once monotony strikes and season decorations also come in handy.

The whole process brings about liveliness and fun as I plan out the steps and figure out how to act out the ideas, but the particular joy comes when I see the ending result. Somewhere along the way, I’d abandoned the far too familiar sight of having the sofa at the centre of attention and instead tried leaving out the focal point entirely. What seemed as an interesting idea and breaking out of the familiar, resulted in a messy, or as much as I’m embarrassed to say, cluttered interior décor. In other words the room order got entirely lost. Thinking about restoring the role of the focal point, I decided to leave the central position vacant from the sofa and instead brought in the charms of modern TV units.

To say the least, the room space got more open and much easier to decorate, in a way having style dictated and not to mention everything fell into its place. After undertaking the whole process, I can say there are modern TV units for every home and taste. The way decorating goes is somewhat similar with when it’s the case of a mantelpiece. I wanted to have more free space to use it up artistically, so I opted for a mounted TV and enclosed it in a larger intricate frame. Using more art around, partly symmetrically, partly not, made it easy for the TV to blend in with the décor and not seem that much of a focal point.

Creating a very personalised, unique interior style, helped me finally steer away from clutter and still have a focal point that breaks away from the same old same old. The TV unit also allowed me to be more organised and have another decorating spot, using only my dear collection of books as ornaments. Have you considered leaving out the role of the sofa as the main point and use a TV unit instead?
